Fort Wayne Area Restaurants With A Track View
 

Overview

There are several restaurants and bars in the Fort Wayne area where you can have a fairly good view of active tracks.  With this page I am attempting to make a listing of all such places.  If I'm missing anything let me know.

Other One of my favorite bars in town.  Good food and beer, plus a toy train runs around up on the wall.  Sit in the main bar area and you will have an unobstructed view of the NKP elevation.  Live concerts are held in the back room.

Other This restaurant sits across the street from the NKP elevation downtown.  Fairly pricey for Fort Wayne, but very good food.  Ask for a seat upstairs and you'll be nearly level with the tracks.  Trains will rattle the building.  Jazz music downstairs.

Other Located at the corner of Broadway and Taylor St, this is actually 2 places connected to each other.  Munchie's entrance is off of Taylor St. and Mad Anthony's entrance is on Broadway.  Sit by the windows at Mad Anthony's and you'll have a very good view of the elevated Huntington District.  Be sure to try the local microbrews here.  They are very good.

Other This restaurant is located near the corner of Broadway and Depot St. in downtown Butler.  Sit at one of tables near the window and you'll have a pretty decent view of the tracks.  Very good food, too.

Other Located at the corner of Warren and Court St. downtown in the former Wabash freight depot.  This is about as close as you'll ever get to train tracks from a restaurant.  Trains will blaze by at up to 60 mph just a few feet away from the windows.  There is an outdoor seating area, as well which is a nice place to watch trains on summer nights.  Bring some insect repellent if you sit outside at night, though.
