I will make the T&C presentation at Auburn's temporary Eckhart Library:
June 9, 2:00 p.m.
1029 W. 7th St., Auburn.
Free.
The attached photo was taken on today's CR-327 south of Garrett, north of CR-64 (the Indian Springs Campground Rd.). We are looking south. On the right near the mailbox is a hump in the grass that is the foundation for the Ensley Stop shelter. The Ensley's were affluent and operated a big dairy farm on the site. They had a side track for loading milk.
The concrete block at left appears to be a side track stop block. There is no reason for it to be there. There was no side track on the east side of CR-327 in this location, and it's too low for anything else. A mystery.
