A Day @ CP 229

August 15, 2012

Friend Keith and I had planned on doing some video around the Anderson South yards wed. The person who was to give us permission decided they needed vacation so we had to postpone that venture. We decided to still meet at CP 229 and make a day of it. We had some busy periods and also some slack time. Ended up there were 25 trains. I videoed twenty of them. Units that struck my interest were NS 6912. One of those SD60Ms with rebuilt nose and cab designed by NS. This one was in fresh and very clean paint. It was on the L82 and later went out on the NS L80 to Dunkirk. CSX Q349 had 4030 one of their rebuilt SD40-3. CSX Q377/16 had a KCS 4004 SD70AC.

The trains were: CSX Q364, NS 124, CSX Q233, NS 251, CSX Q359, Q008, NS L82, CSX Q348, CSX coal train T360, NS 50N, CSX Q376, NS 25A, CSX Q107, Q377/16, NS 196, CSX Q358, Q234, MS 289, M73, CSX 218, NS 288, 282, 216.
