Re: Trains seen on NCD!
Just a heads up. It looked like 368 was hauling 6 locomotives Northbound. The switch at HUGO isn't cooperating with the dispatcher, so you may have time before it gets to East Wayne.

Re: Trains seen on NCD!
CNUR 7 is sitting in Bluffton on the Wabash Central tracks.
In interesting news Thu12Jun2014 the Wells County Sheriff was called to CR700N (the middle crossing of Kingsland siding). This is a daily or more often occurance thanks to a certain jackhole. However, this time police arrested a guy from North Carolina who "had been on top of the train since Chicago." He was held on $1500 bond for criminal trespassing. Of course, NS was still cited for blocking the crossing.

CNUR 7 is coupled to a covered hopper that is being transloaded next to bond street. WBCR removed 2 or 3 ties and dug a hole for a conveyor loader to fit.

Did something tie up the fort overnight? 369 ususally rolls through Bluffton on its way to Muncie between 2200-0100. It rolled through at 0800 today.

I myself would rather wade through the hundred threads, thats how I find where ,what ,when, how and etc. The more information the better. I just pass by the ones of no interest to me. jettrrnut282 wrote:My point is that with one thread that we all can share, it's easier to "keep up". Do you really want to wade through a hundred threads or just read through one?

4 a.m. 2/16/15 Norfolk southern crews were busy working just south of silver street. Also Wabash Central has been picking up extra business from Alexin LLC. Aluminum rods are transloaded from truck to flat car.

I've seen NS train 144 back on the North End of the New Castle District. Is this another schedule tweek or a temporary re-route? (the results may be the same either way
)

Re: Trains seen on NCD!
There is a new track switch laying next to the main at the North end of the Bluffton Yard. Excavator standing by so it should be installed soon. Typically, this is a 4+ hour job, so there will be a lull in the action.

This happened less than 2 miles from the house. My wife heard the sirens go by. She didn't know it involved a train as she had turned the scanner off because she said it kept the grandchild awake.
When I got home, I saw the local L69 pull a UP unit and stuff it into the North end of the ethanol plant.

New Network Service Plan?
It appears train symbols have been changed again. 155, 229 and 26M are the new players I've noticed so far.

Re: Trains seen on NCD!
And just like that I haven't seen those trains again.
DPU has come to the NCD. It appears a weekly train 101 or 10X comes thru on Sat with several trains worth of cars. I assume it turns North again at Claypool to get to Elkhart. So many questions about this like do the dispatchers hate because it doesn't fit anywhere? Is it crewed by management or anybody in the pool?

A loaded coke train came North on the NCD. It had CSX and NS power and a mix of regular and high-top hoppers. I was walking the dog and didn't catch the symbol.
