Post by Notch 8 » Tue Sep 25, 2018 9:37 am

While Piqua Yard still exist today the duties of the Yard have changed.. While Triple Crown is still with us Piqua no longer originates or terminates any of the Triple Crown Trains. This train heads up the Huntington Dist. towards Detroit MI.

I'm surprised you could make if from yard to yard in time.

Don't forget Triple Crown upgraded the yard at least three times: The original 10 track yard. Then they added a 2nd switching lead on the West end (toward Mike) Finally, they added a 2nd switching lead on the East side (near Midway).

Actually, making its way out the Union Belt to the Huntington District, the old industrial lead once shared by the NKP, the Wabash, and the Pennsylvania, for the industries on the east side of Fort Wayne. Nice pictures.
