FWRHS/NKP 765 Open House Sept 29/30

Post by nathansixchime » Thu Sep 27, 2012 4:52 pm

Our open house is this coming weekend -- we're firing up tomorrow (Friday) and will be conducting a recording session with the locomotive and a whistle manifold for Train Control Systems throughout the day. You're all welcome out tomorrow, in addition to Saturday and Sunday.

Engine is facing east and we hope to move it every hour or so.

Also, in case anyone has been wondering where our idea stands for including the 765 into downtown Fort Wayne, read on: http://www.headwatersjunction.com

I went on Friday with two of my non railroad friends who usually poke fun at my hobby. By the end of the trip not a joke was told that had a train as the punchline. They both seemed fascinated, and a little shocked at the size of the 765.
