American & Ohio Loco Crane Company in Bucyrus ceases operations

Post by Notch 8 » Sat Jun 10, 2017 3:47 pm

I was at the Bucyrus Ohio Facility earlier in the week at the facility that has been making cranes since 1909..the jigs that made these booms were ready to be loaded and sent to Minnesota and the days of the American & Ohio Loco Crane Company in Bucyrus have come to an end as of June 1st 2017

Did they make rail cranes (derricks) or cranes used inside buildings to lift locomotives, or something entirely different?
