The Joliet Rocket

Post by RDJ » Fri May 26, 2017 6:49 pm

The upcoming 765 excursion, The Joliet Rocket, brings some questions to mind.
What route will be taken to get to Joliet?
Where will they pick up the coaches?
Where will they turn the locomotive at Joliet?

I have been to Joliet a number of times taking photos and videos.
There is not a wye close.
Is it going to be a push pull same as the Metra uses?

The track between Joliet and Chicago is shared by the Metra, Iowa Interstate and CSX.
Track west of Joliet is the CSX New Rock sub.

These trips are pull-pull, so the 765 will remain facing northbound the entire weekend.
