I agree with Notch. Cross bucks mean there might be a train and the train has the right of way.

If you can't verify whether the tracks are clear, you have no business crossing the tracks. Simple as that. If this was a stop sign at two country roads out in Whitley County, nobody would even question the need to stop and make sure the way is clear.
The sweetest sounds in the world: A pair 567's at idle, and a non turbo 645 in run 8!
