Here's an update to the Supersite project. Relam Inc. has been picked to finish the track work part of the project since the former contractor was let go because of a major safety violation. Ken 8)

I made it by the Supersite today to check on progress and it looks like the section North of Bonnewitz Ave. is about done. I noticed in the last couple of weeks they have applied the rail anchors along with finishing the tamping and lining. The former CN still needs some tamping and of course the new diamond still needs installed. Ken 8)

The turnout is just lacking the target and a customer.

The section of track over the new bridge has been ballasted and tamped.

The new bridge just lacks the grating on either side of the track.

Am I at the right jobsite??

As JW posted Friday the new diamond has been installed this past week. I decided to go grab some pics of it and was a little shocked to see that the crossing angle is off. Keeping the track on the mainline straight results in putting a skew in the former CN trackage. Some one didn't do there homework it seems. Ken 8)

To revive a long dormant thread...

I drove through VW over the weekend on US30 and I saw the track to the north but couldn't get a good look at it. Looking at Google Maps it doesn't look like there is any business on this line. Is that the case?
