Hahaha. Swamp or no swamp. Which has been gone for 100 years. Compression or not. The lack of maintenance on this stretch is it's problem now. My hope is with the new company taking over pioneer we see some work being done asap. All of our shipments of cement to Columbus are to be by rail not truck. With that derailment we are set back two weeks. Using trucks to supplement was a disaster. Lol

I had to go to Woodburn yesterday afternoon on business, so naturally I had to swing up 101 and drive down the street along the tracks. I was surprised to see only three covered hoppers on a siding. Last time I was there, there were maybe a dozen cars there.

I have to look, but I think I have photos of PREX1616 in Sturgis, MI (or Ashley) a few years ago.

Woodburn(where I live) is hit or miss depending on the season. Cement shipments(where I work) are down because of winter. Can't speak to the other industry that uses woodburn interchange. But I would venture a guess that some are seasonal as well!!

Check behind bob's restaurant to see whats going out of woodburn west!!
