Tower location.

Postby RDJ » Tue Feb 17, 2015 1:52 pm

A few years back I purchased from an estate sale of a local railfan appox 2000 slides.
Not being native to this area there are a lot of slides location that I can't ID.
This slide of JK tower is one of them.
It appears that the tower was in service at the time the slide was taken.

The GTW had a JK tower on the west side of South Bend. I don't recall who they crossed, it may have been the MC or NJI&I.

JK TOWER WAS WHERE THE PC/CR KANKAKEE LINE CUT OFF TOWARD STREATOR. CAN'T REMEMBER WHAT ELSE WENT ON THERE. I WAS THERE TWICE WHEN THERE WAS OVER A FOOT OF SNOW AND BOTH TIMES IT WAS DARK. I RODE THE HEAD END TO STREATOR AND THE CABOOSE BACK. THOSE WERE THE GOOD OLD DAYS.
