Down Mexico way? Are you talking somewhere like (I think it's) Macy, where the C&O and the PRR crossed?

It looks a little bit like the old Erie ROW in Huntington. I walked with my nephew a couple years ago south of Taylor St. on the remains of the line and found most of the wire poles still in place amongst the trees. We even found an old concrete telephone shanty about 100 yards from the street. That was a nice surprise!

I hate to be the one who always comes along and asks for a clue or an answer but when it goes on for over a week, I'm guessing no one knows or all the posted shots at an answer are wrong. I'm just saying. . .

Stanely Crane killed this line... much of my traffic was siphoned off after the mergers and made this route redundant. However before being ripped up they fixed this line ! As the story goes much of this traffic found its way over the NW....

It's not part of the Indy-Columbus line, is it?

Yes, the photo's that i posted were taken east of Piqua OH, We ate at Buffalo Jack's in Covington and noticed the ROW went through/near Covington. Why the two different pole lines ? FWIW Lincoln's Funeral Train travel this route. Also to note the line was rehabbed prior to its removal.....

The old CH&D,gone for around 90+/- years also went thru Covington North-South.Part of the roadbed is just North of cemetary on Ohio 48. It went North from Dayton, thru Ludlow Falls, Celina,Mercer,Mendon,Spencerville and up North of Ottoville.

CH&D is very hard to trace these days. There are clues and even not so terribly long ago, there was a remaining stretch of track in Celina.

Had you gone west of Piqua to Bradford, the tower remains and looking fairly good. There's also a PRR caboose standing on the onetime site of the railroad YMCA, gone many years.
