Stack Train?

Post by Michael Meisener » Wed Feb 07, 2007 1:42 pm

The last couple of mornings there has been a westbound stack train of a consist of a couple of engines with 1-3 5 packs of intermodal double stacks. Is this a new hot train or an extra to one that was by earlier?

I'll assume, even though you live in Butler, that you are talking about the Huntington District. Do you have a time/date that it went through. Maybe someone was listening to the scanner at the right time to hear the train's symbol. It could have been the regulars 21A or 21T that were just short because trucks didn't make to the originating yard before the cut-off.

EB Stack on Fostoria Dist.

Post by D.L. » Wed Mar 07, 2007 3:25 pm

Does anyone out there know what this train is or why NS is running this double stack train EB on the Fostoria in the afternoons now? I've been seeing it go by in the early P.M. almost every day now in the last 2 weeks.
