Triple Crown question

Post by Michael Meisener » Sun Jan 22, 2006 5:25 pm

Is there a Set Schedule for the TC trains on the Wabash? It seems every weekend the trains vary on time. I used to see an Eastbound in the morning hours around 8-9am and lately seems that the eastbound has been in the evenings.

The schedule has a lot to do with how fast they get in and get out of Piqua Yard. The second switching lead now allows two trains to be working at the same time, which helps, but just like regular trains, there are times when they have to wait their turn in the yard.

NS claims they are a scheduled railroad. If it's within two hours, it's still on-time :)

Look for surveyors to be out and about next week at the east end of Piqua Yard. TC has asked NS to put in a second switching lead on the east end. It may be used as a passing siding on the belt to get waiting TC trains off of the main or it could allow 4 trains to work simultaneously.

Surveyors have been spotted east of the Hump along the Belt.

TC wants a second switching lead/passing/holding track on the east side of Piqua Yard.
