Traffic levels

Post by D.L. » Thu Sep 10, 2009 4:53 pm

8) Is it just MAW (CNUR), or are traffic levels picking up elsewhere??? There seems to be a lot of activity on our little shortline lately. I hope this is a sign that things are getting better out there. I seem to be hearing more trains on the Fostoria, too. :?

Where did you happen to see traffic on the MAW? I saw a train going east on the MAW east of Cecil heading toward Defiance today on my way home from work. I'm not sure what they were doing, maybe storing cars on the line as they have been doing lately. It seems like the MAW has been gradually storing cars farther east of Cecil and farther west of Defiance. Last night (Thursday), on my way home from work, I saw what looked like a train had gone on the line between Cecil and Defiance, the rails were really overgrown with weeds, but it looked like something had went thru.
