I know that rail traffic has slowed, but so has this board. Its like since Barrack has taken office... Everything has changed !

I'd agree to that too Mike. Personally for me the last few months have been a blur of stuff happening and trains really havn't fit into that much it seems. I've had an offer for someone else to take over the site for me since I'm no longer living in Ft Wayne. I really need to get back with them to look into that more.

What about everyone else, what are you guys up to lately?

Still watching and photographing trains when they do finally run one between rain storms. Since the FRA found so much needed track repair between Muncie and Portland and imposed the ten mph the L80 takes 3 1/2 to 4 hours from Muncie to Portland. Not fun to see or video. Trying to improve a few rough spots in the track on the AMV (A Miserable Venture).

6-7 CSX ran a Weed Sprayer on the Indy line and had a SD45-2 for power a ex CR-EL.

(I received this info after making the post)
Model: EMD SD45-2
Serial Number: 74601-5
Frame Number: 74601-5
Date Built: 08/1974
Lineage: ex SBD 8954, ex SBD 2049, ex SCL 2049
Notes: one of 2 true SD45-2's remaining on CSX roster

Any plans for a breakfast get together ???????

Hey Mike, sorry we got cut off on our call the other day. I tried calling you back but got voicemail and I was busy and forgot. Can you email me more info on that ISP?

I suppose at this point I spend more time watching trains on ATCS from home than I spend trackside. I did get to spend last Saturday afternoon between Garrett and Avilla, and saw several trains. I'm up for breakfast sometime (even though I've yet to attend one). It would be nice to meet some of you face to face.

Have a great evening,

To all:

On Thursday June 18, 2009 Jett & I will be meeting for breakfast @ 9:00 am. We will be meeting at Rich's cafe in New Haven. Our weekends seem to be busy so we decided to meet during the week. Anyone is welcome to join us. After breakfast we will probably head to the perch.

Hope to see some of you all there

I'm working in Michigan (again) and that doesn't leave a lot of time for train watching or posting. My wife is working in California, which means I have to wear more hats at home. Toss in one daughter getting married and my life is a train wreck.

I never have been much on posting messages. My big ol fat fingers are not cut out for typing, besides that, I'm jus plain lazy. This morning, I'll make the big sacrifice and spend 10 minutes typing out a sentence or two. I`ve been busy lately - Mom and Dad going into a home, truck dying, breaker panel in shop needing replaced, etc, etc...However, I always find time to look at the board every morning! Keep up the good work, keep it coming, and I'll always be here....
