RoadRailer almost made it 4 Decades

Longtime Fort Wayne business, Triple Crown Services, is moving its headquarters out of Fort Wayne. An employee confirmed to WANE 15 the last day for employees in July 31, 2020.

So I thought it would be interesting to post this article that is 39 years old..

A highball signal protected the NKP? Cool. Is that a caboose (sans cupola or bay) behind the tender? Question: So the signal in the photo is a ball signal ? At first i thought it was a tilted target, So this signal was for the Wabash Line ? I never knew of any ball type signals being in this region.

The Fruehauf building seems to be way overbuilt to have been originally to build semi trailers.. there is BIG overhead cranes in these buildings, bigger than what is needed to build semi trailers. We have put several overhead cranes in the very east building and the equipment we took down was built ...

Brown & Sons is a regular at the Garrett Yard, They also re-fuel Amtrak when they still called a Crew Change Point.. Didn't Garret have an Amtrak Platform for a brief while ?
