The bridge over by Melbern had been closed for years, if we are all talking about the same bridge. and I do not think they will put a crossing at grade. Thats like a cardinal sin these days. Is the Grain Elavator in Orland IN on or adjadcent of the ROW ?

Iwent to the library in Orland to see if they had anything on the
StJVRR but they were closed ! some other day........

I have read that the depot in Angola IN exsist as well on Martha Street anyone know ?

Missing Car

I was @ Warsaw and just happen to see this stapled onto the door of the C&S Building and
just had to take this picture. How would you like to be the person to explain to the customer
where there railcar is at, or better yet explain where it is not at ! :oops:

It is a MNS (Minneapolis Northfield & Southern) bay window transfer caboose (rough) and has
been there a long time I have pictures and will locate if you would like. this caboose was discussed
on one of the list in the last several years.

How about IDI ? and what is at Pittsboro IN, Intergrated ? or BOF ? SDI has purchased 6000 acres and will be making Nuggets sometime next year. We purchase lots of steel and the price of this stuff is crazy ! think gas/fuel is stupid the price of steel is whacked. they say salt has doulbed as well....

There appears to be an old ROW west of Bristol on the south side of St Rd. 120 was this part of the StJVRR ?

I found several pieces of old stick rail in Lagrange County in a fence row that I believe came off the St Joseph Valley it is approx. half the size of 80-90 lb rail the only other place that it could of came from would have been from the marl pits down in Stroh IN but me thinks it from the St Joe V...

INER/NS is running another borrowed/dedicated train power coming into Montpelier was NS 9526 & 2585 and had 71 grain in tow and there was another 4 sitting at South Milford which should allow for a 75 car train of grain to be assembled. Im holding out for some GEVO's maybe NS will send some of thes...
