Have I seen that sign somewhere else ?

Garrett always seem to host alot of neat trains.
I like the Soo and or the WC power on the Molten
Sulpfur trains and the taconite trains. I suppose
the neat thing about the WC is that it broke up
the monotony of the CSX grayand the NS Cat Fish !

Usually when you see a line shuttered it is neglected for years beforehand. Years ago I took some pictures of the structures used for the c...

WC 45's

All the WC SD45's have been retired, I miss catching them at
Garrett and sometimes they had the F45's in the mix.

Time Machine, anyone on list have one ?

With the recent purchase of Omnisource and now the Hoyt Facility as well as the rail mill in Columbia City, Pittsboro, they also have done something with Primix a tie manufacture, I say the traffic possibilities are endless for this area ! When I was at Defiance checking out the diamond I decided to go past the "Station" as well and there where a number of people that seem to be interested in the contents of the 55 gal, drums located sitting about the station. Diamond in the rough !

CSX crews have gotten the installation almost completed, It would have probably been cheaper for CSX and the Ohio Dept of Transportation to have just outright purchased the segment between Defiance and Cecil than put in a diamond and bridges to accomodate MAW, but who said you can't run trains on sp...
