Re: NYC wreck 1968

This same thing happened in Butler IN somewhere 10 years back, had nothing to do with Genius as it did the track being at 2 different heights causing a lowboy trailer to bottom out, this time a CR TV train caught the worse end of that, the RR employees sued and lost, the driver go on the Cat D9 and...

NS purchase/merger

I was curious if anyone has picked up on anything that would suggest that NS is possibly preparing to hook up with the BNSF. something tells me that there is something going on behind the scenes, I mentioned this to an NS employee an he was quick to come back with the BNSF reference as well. I neve...

Higgins Hill

Higgins Hill, not sure if that is the right name or not but I was told that there was a helper pocket in the Porter IN area on the WLR and had no information on this or when its use ceased and I thought that I would throw this out on the list to see what information that would show up on the board....

Mean Machine

I found this on YouTube and thought that some of you would enjoy this. However if you do not like Rock turn your speakers down, but with that said the music goes very well with the Video.

I have no connection with this video..

Re: NS Chicago Line

The bridge at Corunna has a walkway on both sides the one at Kendallville has a walkway only on the west side but im thinking for pictures the sides of the approaches maybe a better vantage. I have been shooting from both, kinda neat having a bridge and no traffic..

Re: NS Chicago Line

The bridge over by Melbern had been closed for years, if we are all talking about the same bridge. and I do not think they will put a crossing at grade. Thats like a cardinal sin these days. NS and CSX has closed a good number of grade closing. In Noble county IN they are a couple of rurual crossin...
