Re: GR&I in Kendallville

[img] The cars that sit at Lisbon came from what use to be called Universal Tool in Butler IN of all places, 2 miles from your house :D they were used for years behind the plant they sat upon some sort of concrete piers between the building and the tracks but perpendicular to the tracks. I think the...

Re: MAW

They don't have ballast, Let alone a newsletter ! That would require some flair.which MAW lacks. Im not bashing cause a train is a train is a train, however I think the name ACME would be a more appropriate for this RR. this company does not care about image or being a good neighbor in the community...

Re: Train drags ATV; rider ejected

I bet Trent won't take his ATV near the tracks again ! I was told he "bounced " off the side of the trailing locomotive and took off running on foot. it was so hard of an impact that it knocked both of his shoes off ! and he still took off running, they had to go looking for Trent, the other rider s...

Re: Indiana Northeastern Railroad

There is no reason to interchange with the MSO since both ends of this track interchanges with the NS, and besides if they did interchange with the MSO then MSO would get a cut of the pie, if I understand correctly the cut that INER gets for handling a car is a flat rate, meaning the car could circl...

Re: Corunna Signals

The new signals that were installed are tri-color with hoods, however I noticed the other day that the lower 2 colors are now painted over atleast the one on the north side of the track, does this mean the lense that is in the top position so all aspects ? and if so why a head unit that would show a...

CTA cars in Hudson IN

Mid to late 80's possibly early 90's there was a set of CTA cars that came in on flat cars and were rolled off onto the tracks where they sat for a long time, till they were ultimately vandalized and destroyed and I believe cut up on site and hauled off by rail, or possibly by truck. I was under the...

Re: Fort Wayne Depot

So what you are saying is the loop track that has a sign stating "Midway" across from International Truck is a remanant of the Union ? and there use to be a clearance indicator was beside the cloverleaf at 930. A bracket with chains suspended below indicating low clearance. was this the Union as wel...

Re: Corunna Signals

The State of Indiana has entered into an agreement that the St Rd 327 overpass
will be replaced by Primco of Fort Wayne, this is to be completed by November !
Another era is ending....
This was the reason the signals were relocated.
