The cars are actually from Butler IN, they sat may years behind what was then the Universal Jack the plant is still therewhich was recently just purchased again.. but previously called Dura... so they actually came off the NYC. The scrap place that you are spealing of deals in used foundry equipmen...

Has there been any talk with the Ethanol Plants suspending operations ? with the grain prices and futures market prices I was curious if anyone has suspended production... I know these places lock in there prices of the grain that they purchase but it could possible to make more money resaling the ...

Then what is the whole purpose of putting dedicated power onto a train that may have dwell time.
at time of load or unloading or does the dedicated power stay on for that as well ?

Who makes that call ? the customer or the RR ? Could a shipper own there own power and
hire the RR to operate a dedicated train set ? providing the power is interchangeable ?
does a dedicated powerset stay with the train too and fro the movement..

Something to ponder...

Defiance Yard

Noticed all the crashed cars that have sat at the west end of the yard have finally met
there demiss, probabaly to make way for the new Intermodal Facility set to break ground..

The cranes that I do are permanent fixtures at these facilities and we do cranes and hoist for other industries as well, from about as small as a 65 # load to 350 ton power house cranes. however I was impressed with the crane that was on site ! I took pictures... I sell & service cranes, the Sturgis WWTP is one of my customers, we do alot of WWTP's. I stopped and got out with a camera took several pictures, the guys on top of the digester were watching me watching them. what do you do when someone pulls out and starts taking pictures ? yo...

RRnut282 what do you do at the turd plant @ Sturgis ? was there the otherday when they had the 550 ton crane putting the lid on the digester. The toll road has claimed 2 RR overpasses on the south side of Sturgis in recent years, the other the GR&I, I see MSO trains are a little smaller the the abs...
