Then and Now on the EL at Huntington
While you can find plenty of pictures of the Erie Lackawanna yard at Huntington Indiana, a far lesser photographed spot was at Gragg Road on the northwest side of town. Dave Augsburger took the before shot of an eastbound freight in 1968 approaching the crossing and in the distance in the highway 24...

Then and Now at Avilla Indiana
Another shot of the former Grand Rapids and Indiana Railroad with this one being at Avilla Indiana. Craig Berndt took this shot looking north on the line now owned by Conrail on November 10th, 1979. The track in the foreground was the B&O and was single track at the time. I took the current shot on ...

I believe there's at least one daily train through here. From what I've seen lately, there's an every Saturday westbound out of Fort Wayne in the morning.

Larwill Indiana
I got this shot of a westbound CF&E train a couple weeks ago about to go under the King Street overpass. It makes for a nice shot and I'm surprised I haven't seen any other shots from this spot.

Blue Grass Cut
This spot is located at CR 350 W a couple miles west of Albion Indiana on the CSX Garrett Sub. You can get great shots from both directions here and there's spots to pull over on both sided of the road.

Decatur Indiana Then and Now
A before and after at Decatur along the Erie Lackawanna. John Fuller took the first photo in the early 70's and I took the after shot in 2016 of the tracks gone but the tower base still standing. I was told recently that the tower base no longer stands.

Re: Erie Western
I asked this question on a forum years ago and the answer I got is that they generally went 30 mph in most areas with the capability to go faster but didn't to lessen wear on the track.

Re: Late-1999 Changes in Ft. Wayne
Permit new members, update the list of locations and add locations, have a list of train symbols in the area, a before and after photo section of rail lines, fix broken links, update news on a regular basis. I guess pretty much everything lol.

I think if regular updates were made it would draw in a lot of people who may have left over the y...
