NS Chicago Line

The NS Chicago Line is now hosting a couple CN trains and some of these have DPU mid train.. Nice to see the foreign trains as it breaks up the monotony of the NS catfish. I believe this is train M2Q taken 2/21

I believe 50 meg ! Everything has been migrated to a new server with a Solid State HD.. I purchased a new server to keep this going and i'm pleased to see people still visit.. and hope this can be a resource of info for years to come..

Pearson's Candy of St. Paul MN, makers of the famous Salted Nut Roll aquired the Bun Bar in 1998 and still makes them. I knew where it was from as I use to live up the street when I went to school on Fort Wayne but I saw this on another website and chuckled when I saw the Bun Bar billboard.. That river was and still is a dividing line of the Fort..

The best known Berkshire, Nickel Plate Road No. 765 at Bellevue Ohio 1956. Built for the Nickel Plate Road in 1944 by the Lima Locomotive Works in Lima, Ohio. Classified as a "S-2" class Berkshire, the locomotive operated fast, heavy freight and passenger trains until retirement in 1958

I assume this was taken after the first restoration and before the engine house closed? I wish there would been a date on the photo. I will look at some of the other photos and see if I can date this. but yes what you're saying sounds correct. When did they close the East Wayne shop ? I wonder what...

I wonder if this is the beginning of the end for the former NKP roundhouse ? I can't figure why the Frankfort roundhouse still stands.
