Fred, It truly is one of the most interesting railroads that serviced Northeastern IN. I think you can find some very good information about it from the books "Ghost Railroads of Indiana" and "Railroads of Indiana". You can also do the Google Map between Mongo and Orland and still see where the road...

Way back when I was student at WMU in Kalamazoo, I used to roar across that old iron trestle highway bridge on the weekends going to and from school. I dont recall when it was bypassed, but it was a big improvement. Hope that answers your question.
